Appreciating Honey Bees in the Garden & Ecosystem

Amy Antonucci will talk about the goodness honey bees bring to our gardens and to all of our world.  We will peer into the darkness of the hive to look at the biology and society of these fascinating creatures.  We will touch on the issues facing bees and other pollinators, why it matters to you and how you can help them.

Amy has been keeping bees for honey and pollination since 2005 and is Vice President of the Seacoast Beekeepers Association of NH.  She has given talks at the NOFA-NH winter conference, libraries, schools and been interviewed on the radio about apiculture.  She has worked in organic agriculture for over ten years, studies herbal medicine, and is a certified permaculture designer.
